Slow growing green plant with bleaching to chlorotic in crossbands especially at the base of and along leaf midrib; zig zag culm.
Bleached Midrib
A BlhMb*-N2443/+ heterozygous mutant plant, showing bleaching to chlorotic tissue at base, along midrib and in diurnal crossbands on affected leaves. Also a weak zig zag stalk.
Bleached Midrib
Small BlhMb*-N2443/+ heterozygous original mutant plant, showing bleaching to pale green in diurnal crossbands and narrow leaves.
